While single-phase power is significantly more common worldwide, two-phase wiring can be used to power Data Enabler Pro or Data Enabler Pro gen3.
Data Enabler Pro or Data Enabler Pro gen3 and their connected Powercore luminaires will function correctly when connected as a line-line load with a line conductor connected to the neutral terminal (on split-phase, three-phase, or 2-phase power), as long as the voltages measured between the line and neutral terminals are within the correct range for the product.
Note that in this configuration, while fixtures will turn off when the relay in the Data Enabler is opened (there is no path for current to flow when one side of the loop is opened), there is still voltage present at the fixture because the relay only opens the line terminal and not the neutral.
Also remember that the choice of phase that is connected to the neutral terminal must be consistent between the Data Enabler and all connected fixtures for data to function correctly.
Additionally, the relay in the Data Enabler is not recommended as a safety disconnect, nor has it been evaluated as such (and it cannot be locked out/tagged out), even for line to neutral connected systems.
