Controller Keypad is a serial triggering device used to trigger shows stored on iPlayer 3.  A maximum of four (4) Controller Keypads can be daisy‐chained in series and connected to a single iPlayer 3 serial port.

Making the Connections:

A custom cable is required to daisy‐chain multiple Controller Keypads in order to properly transmit the control signal through all serial devices to provide feedback to each Controller Keypad.  The last Controller Keypad in the daisy‐chain should be no more than 50ft of cable distance from the serial port on iPlayer 3.  A serial repeater device (by others) should be used for any distances exceeding 50ft.  The diagram on Page 2 shows the wiring configuration required when using multiple Controller Keypads with iPlayer 3.

Setting the Base Address:

The Controller Keypad has a Range setting that will allow the user to select an 8‐show trigger range based on the table below.  This feature allows the user flexibility to use multiple keypads to either trigger a minimum of 8 sequential shows or a maximum of 32 sequential shows per serial port.
