Red rendering can be poor if you choose a traditional RGB luminaire. The R9 values will typically be negative, since red will be very over-saturated compared to other colors. However, IntelliHue offers very natural red rendering. The R9 value for an IntelliHue luminaire is >80, which puts it between Ceramic Metal Halide (CMH) and halogen.
