Because all Chromasync Pro luminaires work with the same gamut, regardless of what color you pick – either using swatches provided here or any point in color picker - the luminaires will deliver consistent output.

However, because ColorPlay 3 currently doesn't support Graze Elite or other Chromasync Pro luminaires, here's a set of swatches and instructions to produce accurate white colors.

  1. Download and save the swatches file.
  2. Navigate to the ColorPlay 3 directory in C: drive on your PC.
  3. Extract and save the Chromasync 3 Swatches.ckcolors files to Presets directory:

  1. Build map and address

Create one Generic RGB luminaire per controllable pixel for Graze Elite (or any Chromasync Pro capable luminaire).

Address each pixel sequentially (e.g., 4 ft Graze Elite with 6 in resolution would require 8 RGB luminaires, with starting addresses 1 thru 22).

  1. View swatches in Palette Editor

Group as desired, add effects to timeline and edit colors.

Occasionally the Swatches palette isn't initially visible when opening Palette Editor. If this happens click on the dotted line near the right side of the Palette Editor window and drag to the left to reveal the Swatches list.

  1. Add swatch file in Palette Editor

Navigate to the Chromasync 3 Swatches.ckcolors files and select file to add.

Click the Import button.

  1. Select colors

Collapse the “Default Swatches” and expand “Chromasync 3 Swatches”.

Make sure Target luminaire is “Generic RGB”.

Select white points from swatch list to ensure proper output from Chromasync Pro luminaires.

You’ll note that the display does not accurately render the color due to lack of proper luminaire profile, however the luminaires will produce the color defined by the swatch name with consistency and accuracy.

Using these swatches offer a quick reference for accurate white points. You may also use the color picker, but swatches will provide accurate white points when required.

These are the DMX values used to generate white points in 3 IN to N OUT mode with Chromasync ON. Also useful for generating white points with 3rd party controllers.
