Installation Instructions

Must be installed by a qualified electrician in accordance with all national and local electrical and construction codes and regulations.

  1. Confirm all components received

  1. Verify the electrical plan and all necessary surge protection requirements.

Important Surge Protection Requirement:
  1. Ensure latest firmware is running and update as necessary.

  1. Installation planning

Use Configuration Calculator to help identify and locate all luminaires, Data Enabler Pro devices, and controllers and to calculate the number of luminaires each circuit can support based on model, line voltage, circuit load, and cable lengths.
  1. Make sure power is OFF

  2. Permanent Installation

  1. Remove cover and appropriate seal plugs.

  1. Tighten cable connectors to manufacturers specification and torque seal plug to approximately 19 in-lb (2.2 Nm).

    For wet or damp locations, seal all points of entry to prevent water infiltration. Use RTV silicone and weatherproof junction boxes.
  2. Connect data – DMX

  3. Connect data – Ethernet

  1. Attach power cable

  1. Connect luminaire cable

Connect luminaire cable - iColor Accent Powercore

  1. Secure cover

Torque to approximately 16 in-lb (1.8 Nm)
  1. Turn the power ON.

Verify power is off before installing or de-installing.
Do not attempt to install or use the Data Enabler Pro until you have read and understand the installation instructions and safety labels.
Do not use the Data Enabler Pro for any voltage for which it is not rated. Do not exceed the specified voltage and current input rating. Only for use with specified Color Kinetics Lighting products.
It is the end user’s responsibility to comply with these installation instructions and to determine appropriate conductor size to permanently connect the incoming facility, and to provide means for disconnecting the system.
